The State Housing Infrastructure Project (SHIP) and Affordable Housing Infrastructure Grant (AHIG) our the states newest tools to help address infrastructure needs facing Utah.

SHIP: SHIP is a $100 million revolving loan fund administered by the SHIP Board – empowering political subdivisions to fund regionally significant infrastructure that unlocks attainable, owner-occupied housing.

AHIG: AHIG is a $150 million grant fund dedicated to Salt Lake County — administered by the AHIG Board to fund regionally significant infrastructure projects that unlock attainable, owner-occupied housing.

The GSLBIP, led by the Utah Division of Water Resources, will serve as a long-term roadmap for managing water across the Great Salt Lake Basin. The goal is to maintain a resilient water supply, promote a healthy lake, and support the economy and quality of life that depend on both.

The plan builds on technical modeling from the Great Salt Lake Basin Study and will guide future decisions by the state, water users, conservancy districts, municipalities, and the public.

Your input at this stage directly shapes what gets modeled and how success is defined. This is an opportunity to help define practical options grounded in data, measurable outcomes, and real-world tradeoffs.
